Nicaragua
Wed. March 31- I flew into Managua , I met with Eagle Lilly, our EITI Central America Director. We were picked up by Pastor Julio, the Superintendent of the Pentecostal Holiness churches in Nicaragua . We drove two hours to Rivas. Rivas is a port city with two active volcanoes, one of fire and one of water. They are side by side, right next to each other. There, we connected with Pastor Patricia and the rest of the team from Jubileo Arts Institute of Costa Rica. There were 10 total team members.
Upon entering Nicaragua , the atmosphere is one of oppression. There is rejection, lack, poverty, insecurity, void and a spirit of religion that does not liberate. Although the people in the churches are very precious people, there is a sense of "struggle to life", yet there is a small under current of hope. I say struggle to life, not struggle to live because they are alive in Christ, yet there seems to be an acceptance that things will stay the way they are. I did not see them truly pressing in to see the abundant life (I am not speaking of physical abundance) Jesus says is ours. Abundant means superior in quality and superabundant in quantity. Yet inside of them, I believe there is a struggle that takes place because the Spirit in them tells them that there is more.
Our meetings began on Thursday, April 1 at the Centro de Armonia Christiana which means Center where Christians Gather in Unity. Pastor Emerson is the Pastor there. It was a tremendous blessing to be able to give the books from GOZ to the Pastors and leaders there. They were very grateful to receive them I know that sowing those seeds will produce a great harvest and bring change to that nation.
There were about 60 students who showed up to take the series of dance workshops. I taught Prophetic Dance and Elements of Choreography. Other classes included tambourines, streamers, flags, messianic and lyrical.
Friday, April 2, was filled with classes during the day. In the evening, I spoke at Pastor Lydia 's church, Sendero de Luz, which means Path of Light. I preached on the Keys of the Kingdom. I believe God wanted them to know that He has given us all keys to unlock treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, Is 45:3. Holy Spirit allowed me to minister to Pastor Lydia and the leaders in the church. Several prophetic words came forth. I also ministered to the men and the youth leader. Many young people were touched by the power of God. Some were saved, I believe many were encouraged in the Lord.
Saturday, April 3 was another day of classes. In the evening, the classes presented the dances they had learned. My class did a prophetic demonstration of Ezekiel 37 as a prophetic word to the nation that Nicaragua will live and will rise to be an exceeding great army for the Lord. The Lord had me to take one of the new prayer mantles from GOZ and present it to Pastor Lydia . He had me prophesy the blessings of Joseph from Genesis 49:22-26 over Nicaragua . Those in attendance were invited to worship under a mantle which represented the Holy Spirit. It was a wonderful time of ministry unto the Lord and to His people. That night, Pastor Emerson informed me that I would speak on Sunday evening.
In Rivas, it is so hot during the day that they have church in the evening. Sunday, April 4, I woke up in a place of intercession for Nicaragua . There is systemic poverty there. I could sense that the Pastors really needed encouragement to stand against the structures that have been in place for many years. I prayed for the Lord to help me strengthen the churches through revelation and that I would represent Him in a way that would release a spirit of resurrection power and healing. I found out once we arrived that all the churches were coming together on that night, so there would be several Pastors and their congregations there.
I preached on Is 43:19. God was faithful to meet us there. Several people rededicated their lives to the Lord. We prayed for many to be healed and for those whose hope was deferred to be restored. Pastors received breakthroughs and God again released prophetic words to the nation and to individuals to edify, exhort and comfort His people.
Some of our team members were hosted in the home of one of the ladies from one of the churches. I had given her some of our new GOZ oil, Delivered to See. She dropped the oil on the floor and it broke. The fragrance permeated the house. Not long after the fragrance was released, the lady of the house manifested. They discerned that it was a spirit of witchcraft that was operating there. They were able to pray and cast it out!
Pastor Lydia has invited me back to Nicaragua this November to do a five day series of meeting with the leaders in the region. We will go back there either before or after our scheduled ministry in Panama and Costa Rica, where I will do a two day meeting with Pastors in that region.
I am amazed at God and all He is doing in Central America . I know God has plans for these nations and I am thankful that He is allowing me to be a part of building His church and strengthening His people there. I also came home with the next generation of leaders in my heart. I was encouraged to see so many young people whole heartedly involved in worship unto the Lord.
Please pray for Central America . May His Kingdom come and His will be done there!
Thank you and blessings!
